EXPERIENCE

MIT Open Documentary Lab (ODL) – Producer & Project Manager

Present – 2016 | Cambridge, MA

  • Manages and produces content for DocuBase–an interactive curated database of the people, projects, and technologies transforming documentary in the digital age. Keeps up to date on the field of immersive and interactive storytelling.
  • Conducted research for the conference Update or Die: Future Proofing Emerging Digital Documentary Forms
  • Contributes to immerse–a Medium publication by ODL, Tribeca Film Institute and Fledgling Fund on creative discussion of emerging non-fiction storytelling.
  • Represents the lab at various conferences, markets, and festivals such as Sheffield Doc Fest, !f Istanbul and FilmGate Miami.
  • Produces ODL’s communication, outreach materials, events and workshops; manages ODL’s website and social media accounts, conducts video interviews with guests speakers and documents events.
  • Participates in the weekly ODL meetings with fellows, faculty and graduate students.

MIT Open Documentary Lab (ODL) – Researcher & Video Editor

2016 – 2014 | Cambridge, MA

  • Worked as a video editor in Professor Vivek Bald’s transmedia project In Search of Bengali Harlem / Lost Histories (a feature-length film, a web-based documentary, and an oral history project). Edited videos for both linear and web formats, and contributed to the overarching narrative across two platforms.
  • Undertook research on interactive documentaries, virtual reality and cross-platform projects.
  • Conducted interviews and wrote case studies for DocuBase.
  • Participated in the weekly ODL meetings with ODL fellows, faculty and graduate students.
